Here’s another Flint
Hydraulics Tech Tip: The source of pressure in a hydraulic system is resistance
to flow caused by a load to be moved. The relationship of load weight (or
force) to pressure is graphically represented in the Pressure Triangle, which describes the mathematical formulas used
to solve for the variables:
F/p = A
F/A = p
p x A = F
“Force” (F) in these formulas is the weight of
the load. Pressure (p) is directly proportional to load weight and inversely
proportional to piston area (A).
