Pressure in a Hydraulic System
Here's another Flint Hydraulics Tech Tip: Fluids always follow the path of least resistance. If your hydraulic system cannot develop sufficient pressure to operate your machine, and if you're sure the pump is sound, there is a defect in your system flow path. Troubleshooting can be time-consuming and frustrating, but it's more effective than replacing expensive parts that aren't causing the problem. Pressure in a Hydraulic Circuit
Here's another Flint Hydraulics Tech Tip: Pressure at the upstream side of parallel flow paths will rise only as high as necessary for all the flow to return to tank. In the illustration, pressure in the entire circuit will rise only high enough to force the fluid through Path A, because that is the path of least resistance. Is your system experiencing a loss of pressure? Call our troubleshooting experts at 901-794-4884, or email us at sales@flinthyd.com, today!
