Carlos Miguel Seijo Sablan, 48, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital - Memphis, TN.
Carlos was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and had lived in a vast array of areas before residing in Memphis, TN with his mother. He was an International Sales Representative for Flint Hydraulics, Inc. Carlos was a very dignified and accomplished gentleman. He was the youngest Brother of The Knights of Columbus and held the title of Financial Secretary, Queen Of Peace Catholic Church. He was a member of The Men's Club as well as a percussionist of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church choir. Carlos's greatest passions were for the Star Wars and the Game of Thrones series. He also enjoyed karaoke and trivial pursuit games. Carlos was often described as a "walking encyclopedia" and the official historian of his family trees. He was a very loving, caring, respectful son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and overall person. Above all, he loved his family and his country.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 2017, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at The Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 8455 Germantown Road, Olive Branch, MS 38654 with the funeral mass following at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at The Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his father, Carlos Jaime Seijo-Custodio of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico; his mother, Mercedes L. Sablan of Memphis, TN; four sisters, Earlene Torres of Clovis CA; Catherine A. Sablan of Seattle, WA; Christine (Frank) J. Cruz of Guam; Sofia A. Seijo-Galarza of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico; five brothers, Michael Anthony Torres of Saipan, CMNI; Enrique S. Torres of Guam; Denis (Nenita) S. Torres of Guam; James (Antonia) P. Sablan of Saipan, CNMI; Carlos (Barbie) J. Seijo-Galarza of North Carolina; four aunts, Delia A. Seijo-Torres of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Laura A. Perez-Custodio of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Alba N. Seijo-Custodio of Carolina, Puerto Rico; Ameila Quisqueya Seijo-Custodio of Canovanas, Puerto Rico; four uncles, David (Rita) M. Sablan of Saipan, CNMI; Rudolfo (Rosalia) M. Sablan of Saipan, CNMI; Ulises (Olga Rivera) Seijo-Torres of Guynabo, Puerto Rico; Miguel A. Seijo-Torres of Carolina, Puerto Rico; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carlos was preceded in death by his brother, Randolph S. Torres; four aunts, Maria S. Reyes; Magdalena S. Manahane; Selva O. Seijo-Torres; Onelvia C. Seijo-Torres; and four uncles, Ignacio M. Sablan; Mariano M. Sablan; Enrique M. Sablan; Miguel A. Torres-Custodio.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital Tribute Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
